Good morning,
Well, another week of the regime. Another week of push back.
I watched a snippet of This Week with George Stephanopolous Sunday, with Martha Raddatz hosting. They showed a clip of some farmers in Florida who were being negatively affected by the regime’s tariffs. One was concerned about how they would survive. The other one, the one that stood out to me, still supports the tariffs and the regime. Some people just can’t get enough. His reasoning was that by stopping food coming in from Canada that this will make our food supply “safer.” Hogwash.
One of the early acts of DOGE was to cut thousands of jobs from the Food and Drug Administration. Remember that? Yes, the FDA was reviewing the Muskrats neuralink, and it was not looking too promising. So of course, the FDA was an early target. The problem with that of course is that the FDA is the department that keeps our food supply safe. So, Florida Farmer, you are wrong. Thanks for playing.
Yesterday, the buffoon signed an executive order to dismantle the Education Department. This tracks with the dystopian view of the buffoon. The victims of this criminal act will be poor children and children with disabilities. The least of these. Again. The regime is framing this dismantling as follows: “The Orange Felon Empowers Parents, States, and Communities to Improve Education Outcomes.” Orange Felon may be a typo. In the words of El Salvador’s corrupt president, “Oopsie.”
Here’s the rub. The Department of Education does not control curriculum. States do…already. They always have.
“No provision of a program administered by the Secretary or by any other officer of the Department shall be construed to authorize the Secretary or any such officer to exercise any direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction, administration, or personnel of any educational institution, school, or school system, over any accrediting agency or association, or over the selection or content of library resources, textbooks, or other instructional materials by any educational institution or school system, except to the extent authorized by law.”
So, by dismantling the Department of Education and handing over the curriculum to parents, etc. means…squat. If they are complaining about our education system, the problem is not in Washington. The problem is in the states with low standards of education. Generally these are red states of course. According to Newsweek, the top five states in education were Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey and Wisconsin.1 The worst five? Oklahoma, Arizona, Alaska, Louisiana, and New Mexico at dead last.
The Department of Education is involved in making sure states get funding to keep their school lunch programs operating and this includes funding for breakfast for some students. This is vitally important. Asking students to listen and learn when their bellies are empty is useless as well as cruel. Feed them and they will learn. Shouldn’t parents be doing that, you ask? Well, yea. And the right wing will go straight to, “Oh those welfare moms who are out abusing drugs all day.” The truth is in our society, most households are dual income. Parents are working hard to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. Schools have provided breakfasts and lunch for children for decades. Now this is endangered and it will only hurt test scores, not to mention the children who will go hungry through the school day.
Nothing this regime is doing is making the United States safer. Nothing this regime is doing ill make this country smarter. In fact, they seem to be aiming to make the US fit the deluded dystopian view that the buffoon campaigned on. And at that they seem to be fairly successful. Thankfully, we are seeing a few rulings roll in that are aimed against what the regime is doing. The problem with those court rulings is that they feel like too little too late. Maybe I’m wrong. Wouldn’t be the first time. But every day this regime stays in power feels like one less day of freedom. One less day to actually make a change.
Robert Reich asked in his post this morning, “Will Trump obey the rulings?” I guess I measure one’s response differently than some. It seems like he is not obeying the rulings. Were the illegally deported Venezuelans returned from El Salvador as ordered by the judge? Nope. So, why are we questioning whether the buffoon is going to obey the rulings? If I told my kids to take out the trash and they refused, they would not be given a week to think about it. The buffoon will not obey the orders. He will keep delaying, delaying, delaying, just like he did in the other cases against him before the election. We all know how that turned out.
Protests and calls to representatives need to continue.
April 5th is a big day. If you are able to come to Washington DC, please do. We need as many people there as possible. If you are unable to do so, go to your state capital. If you can’t go there, go to your county or city hall. Take pictures, memorialize the day. And CALL and/or WRITE your representatives! I feel the time is short. And as I have said before, I am concerned about whether we will have elections in 2026.
Thanks for reading.
Keep up the good work.
Knowledge is power and it is worth saving.

So well articulated! It is getting super bad and it doesn’t seem like we’re slowing him down much
